Services for Mamie Brown of Monticello are 1 p.m., Wednesday,April 25, at Fair Hill M. B. Church in Oma with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 5 p.m. at Tyler FuneralHome.

Mrs. Brown, 100, died April 19, 2001, of heart failure atLawrence County Hospital. She was born in Copiah County on May 1,1900, to Henry Newell and Emma Newsome Newell.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Fair Hill M. B. Church,where she served as a stewardess.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JessieBrown; her brothers, George, R.V., and Buster; her sons, George andCarl; her daughter, Lucille Allen; and her sisters, Mary Brown,Hattie Davis and Myra Smith.

Survivors are her son, Charlie Brown of Oma; her daughters,Christine Larks of New Orleans, Jessie Robinson of North Carolina,Leevana Rogers of Pinola, and Johnnie Mae Taylor of Oma; hersister, V. L. Collins of Georgetown; and 19 grandchildren, 43great-grandchildren, 31 great-great-grandchildren, and twogreat-great-great-grandchildren.
