Graveside services for Pollard Ford Burris of Smithdale are 4p.m., Tuesday, May 1, at Adams United Methodist Church Cemetery.Catchings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Burris, 56, died April 29, 2001, in Franklin County. He wasborn in Pike County on Dec. 5, 1944, to James Ford Burris and IleenWells Burris. He was a graduate of Southwest Mississippi CommunityCollege and the University of Southern Mississippi.

He was a retired salesman for Lott Furniture in McComb. He was amember of Meadville Baptist Church and attended Adams UnitedMethodist Church. He was an avid deer hunter.

Preceding him in death were his father, and his granddaughter,Sarah Dawn Byrd.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters,Carol Arnold of Natalbany, La., and Anne Martin of Bogue Chitto;his sister, Juanita Faye Shipp of Jackson; and threegrandchildren.
