Services for Emma Belle Sutton of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m.,Friday, May 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inMt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mrs. Sutton, 99, died May 7, 2001, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, on Sept. 18, 1901, toJohn Carnes and Blanche DeArmond Carnes.

She was a retired secretary. She was a member of the DAR, theGarden Club, and the Book Club. She was a member of First BaptistChurch, where she taught Sunday school for many years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, SamuelArnold Sutton; her sister, Marguerite Granville; and her son,Carnes DeArmond Sutton.

Survivors are her daughter-in-law, Gene Sutton of Ft. Worth,Texas; her grandchildren and their spouses, James DeArmond Suttonand Robyn, Bettie Gene Sanders and Robert, Susie Jane Francis andWilliam, and John Carnes Sutton and Sandra; her nephew, JohnGranville of Abileen, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren.
