Graveside services for Juarene K. Ruffin of Philadelphia were 10a.m., Thursday, May 17, at Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruffin, 72, died May 15, 2001, at her daughter’s home. Shewas a native of New Augusta.

She was a legal secretary for 40 years. She worked with thePhiladelphia Arts Council, was secretary of the Philadelphia PublicSchool Board for over eight years and was secretary of the NeshobaCounty Fair Board of Directors. She was a member of First UnitedMethodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her husband, William Henry “Billy”Ruffin Jr.; and her daughter, Lindsay Lucille.

Survivors are her daughters, Janet Thrash, Molly Turner, MarthaHancock, Alice Clark, and Liz Graham, all of Philadelphia, LucyMorgan of Starkville, and Stacy Oberschmidt of Brookhaven; herbrother, Jake Killingsworth of Mobile; and 16 grandchildren.
