Cannon, who was arrested in March with a small amount of thehighly addictive drug, now faces three counts of possession ofcrystal meth with intent to sell, two counts of possession of aweapon by a convicted felon, possession of crystal meth, possessionof cocaine, conspiracy to sell crystal meth and sale of crystalmeth charges.

“These charges will be taken to the grand jury on the 18th ofJune,” said Lincoln County Sheriff Lynn Boyte.

Boyte hopes a conviction will help end a long-time investigationinto the trafficking of crystal meth from Texas and Memphis to thearea.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and MBN have beenworking on the case for almost three years, according toauthorities. They decided to compare their information, resultingin a search warrant being served at Cannon’s house.

“The reason this all came together is because we workedside-by-side on this,” said Boyte.

Authorities have already seized vehicles, a four-wheeler andpolice scanners from Cannon’s home, and now they expect to seizethe 62 acres of fenced in property, Boyte said.
