Services for Oddee Smith of Brookhaven are 2:30 p.m. Sunday,June 17, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, June 17, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. atBrookhaven Funeral Home and Sunday, June 17, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.at Macedonia Baptist Church.

Mr. Smith, 84, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 18, 1916, tothe late Jeffy and Hettie Britt Smith.

He was the owner and chief executive officer of Oddee SmithConstruction Company, which was established in 1945, and a formercounty supervisor for eight years. He was a member of MacedoniaBaptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mabel Britt Smith; sons anddaughters-in-law, Paul and Connie Smith, J. Ronny and Carolyn Smithand Joel O. and Cindy Smith, daughter and son-in-law, Glenda andGerald Hart, all of Brookhaven; 10 grandchildren; and eightgreat-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church.
