Services for Philip ‘Scooper’ Leggett of Bogue Chitto are 2:30p.m. Sunday, June 24, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Cold Springs Church of Christ Cemetery.

The Revs. Hal Hatten and Anthony Yarborough will officiate.

Visitation is Sunday, June 24, from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. atthe funeral home.

Mr. Leggett, 52, died Friday, June 22, 2001, at his residence.He was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 4, 1948, to the late ClaiborneLeroy Leggett and Clara Mae Sandidge Leggett Allen.

He was disabled. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Hewas a member of the gospel group The Providentials, and theChristian Motorcycle Association.

Survivors are his wife, Connie Brown Leggett; son anddaughter-in-law, C. Kevin and Chantel Leggett; daughters andson-in-law, Amy L. and Brad Britt and T. Michelle Leggett; sister,Janet Leggett; father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Hewitt Brown;grandson, Tanner Britt; and granddaughter, Kacey Leggett, all ofBogue Chitto.

Pallbearers are John Leggett, Joe Young, Darrell Boyd, GregSmith, Danney Bullock, Matt Smith, Howard Alford and JackieBrown.
