Services for Helen Mae Smith of Baton Rouge are 1 p.m.,Wednesday, July 11, at New Salem Church of Christ with burial inthe church cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday beginning at 4 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mrs. Smith, 78, died July 8, 2001, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Oct. 30, 1922, to Lucien James Smith andLela Hoggatt Smith.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Salem and HillcrestChurches of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, JoanSmith; and her husband, Bracy Smith.

Survivors are her sons, Roger Dale Smith of Sulpher, La., B. N.Smith of Monroe, La., and Donald James Smith of Earlytown, Ala.;her daughter, Lucy Smith of Baton Rouge; her brother, Allen Smithof Brookhaven; and 11 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and11 great-grandchildren.
