Services for Elijah James McDonald of Meadville are 3 p.m.,Saturday, July 14, at Franklin County High School Auditorium withburial in Hunt Cemetery in Kirby.

Visitation is today from 1-5 p.m. at Tyler Funeral Home andSaturday from 2 p.m. until service time at the school.

Mr. McDonald, 15, drowned July 9, 2001, in the Homochitto River.He was born in McComb on Oct. 15, 1985, to Willie James McDonaldand Tonnette Williams.

He was a student in the Franklin County Schools. He was a memberof Mt. Sinaii M. B. Church, where he was in the choir and Sundayschool. He was a member of the basketball team.

Survivors are his father, Willie James McDonald of Fayette; hismother, Tonnette Williams of Meadville; his brother, JulianMatthews of Meadville; and his sister, Malieka Graves ofFayette.
