Services for Gladys M. Stewart of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.Saturday, July 28, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inGum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is tonight from 4-10 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stewart, 78, died July 26, 2001, at SMRMC. She was born inBrookhaven on March 6, 1923, to Wise Martin and Ada OliverMartin.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, HarveyStewart; and one brother, one sister, and one great-grandchild.

Survivors are her sons, Howard Stewart and Jewel W. “Pete”Stewart, both of Brookhaven; her daughter, Shirley King ofBrookhaven; her brothers, Charles Martin of Brookhaven and WesleyMartin of Lake Charles, La.; her sisters, Ethel Stewart and EdnaEast, both of Brookhaven, Pauline Allred of Bogue Chitto, andOranell Jarman of Clarksville, Va.; and eight grandchildren and 15great-grandchildren.
