Services for Carlton Rainey Moak of Summit were 10 a.m.,Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb with burial inMcCall Creek Church of God Cemetery.

Mr. Moak, 74, died July 30, 2001, at SMRMC. He was born inLincoln County on Aug. 27, 1926, to Horace Edwin Moak and DonieRoberts Moak.

He was the owner of Mid City Paint and Supply, which he openedin Summit in 1963. He was a member of McComb Church of God, wherehe was Sunday school superintendent and a member of the churchboard. He was a member of the board of directors and formerpresident of Mississippi Building Material Dealers Association. Hewas a former member of the McComb Rotary Club. He was a Navyveteran of WWII, where he served aboard the U.S.S. Curtis in theSouth Pacific and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Smith Moak of Summit; his sons,Carlton Lynn Moak and Jason Alan Moak, both of Summit; hisbrothers, Riley Moak and Joel Rolf Moak, both of Summit, RobertMoak of Orange, Texas, Rodney Moak of Panama City, Fla. and WoodyMoak of Pride, La.; his sisters, Bobbye Schonhoff of Detroit, BettyTerrell and Connie Donaho, both of Summit, and Brenda Dillon ofBaton Rouge; and a host of nieces and nephews.
