Services for Hilda Faye Wallace of Brookhaven were 11 a.m.,Thursday, Aug. 2, at Gum Grove Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.
Mrs. Wallace, 60, died July 31, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on July 31, 1941, toLouis E. Smith and Mary Dell Case Smith.
She was co-founder and co-owner of Brookway Market Basket. Shewas a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member ofWMU, Sunday school, training union, and the choir.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her father-in-law,Cecil Wallace.
Survivors are her husband, Wayne Wallace of Brookhaven; her sonsand daughters-in-law, Joey and Janice Wallace, Scotty and GailWallace, and Travis Wallace, all of Brookhaven, and Cliff and KarenWallace of Bogue Chitto; her daughter and son-in-law, Deedee andPaul Henning of Brookhaven; her mother-in-law, Oma Wallace of BogueChitto; her brothers, Virgil Smith and Edwin Smith, both of BogueChitto; her sister, Mayfred Summers of Brookhaven; and 12grandchildren.
