Graveside services for Bettye Laird Dorris of Jackson are 2p.m., Monday, Aug. 6, at Liberty Cemetery in Forest.

Mrs. Dorris, 71, died Aug. 3, 2001, at Mississippi Care Center.She was a native of Mangham, La., and was a longtime resident ofJackson. She was a graduate of the Mississippi Baptist HospitalSchool of Nursing.

She was employed for 34 years as a registered nurse. She was amember of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Richard L. DorrisJr.

Survivors are her sons, Richard L. Dorris III of Wesson andWilliam Carl Dorris of Jackson; and her brother, Richard HarveyLaird of Monroe, La.
