Services for Paul Cleveland Smith of Chicago are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Aug. 4, at Tyler Funeral Home Chapel with burial in RoseHill Cemetery.

Mr. Smith, 62, died July 24, 2001, in Chicago. He was born inBrookhaven on June 28, 1939, to Malco Smith and Helen Smith. He wasa graduate of Englewood High School in Chicago and Florida A&Min Tallahassee. He held a B.S. degree in education.

He was retired after 26 years as a teacher for the ChicagoPublic School System, where he coached football and wrestling. Hewas a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.

Preceding him in death was his mother.

Survivors are his father, Malco Smith of Brookhaven; his son,Paul Smith II; his daughter, Angelique Smith; and sixgrandchildren.
