Services for Beatrice Burns Holmes of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m.,Sunday, August 19, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inBethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Holmes, 59, died at her residence. She was born in LincolnCounty on March 20, 1942, to Roy and Ida Mae Lofton Burns.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethel BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her sisters, Velma Burns and MaryBurns; and her brothers, Roy Burns and Clinton Burns.

Survivors are her husband, Sammy G. Holmes; her son, Robert DeanCates of Jackson; her daughter, Debra Kay Schillings of New York;her brother, Kenneth Burns of Bogue Chitto; her sisters, BettyWatts of Tulsa, Okla., Bobby Winbourne of Bogue Chitto and ThelmaHall of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and onegreat-grandchild.
