The West Lincoln Lady Bears hammered the visiting FranklinCounty Lady Bulldogs 23-0 Friday night in slowpitch softballaction. Hanna Roberts was the winning pitcher, improving to 3-1 onthe season.

Sophomore Chastity Avants powered the Lady Bears with twotriples and a single. Holli Bass, Dana King and Jennifer Richardsonsingled three times. Lindsey Franklin doubled and singled. Robertsand Brittany Smith collected two singles apiece.

Contributing to the West Lincoln win with a single were LaurenSmith, Emily Richardson, Christy Lindigrin and Amber Delaune.

West Lincoln visits Wesson Tuesday for junior varsity andvarsity games. The JV begins at 6 p.m. and the varsity at 7.

In the JV game, West Lincoln whipped Franklin County19-0. Alicia Kennedy got the win, posting a 2-1 record. Kennedyalso homered and singled. Smith ripped a double and asingle.
