Services for Steve Gatlin of Los Angeles are 1 p.m., Saturday,Aug. 25, at Friendship M. B. Church in Brookhaven with burial inthe church cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at Marshall FuneralHome in Bude and Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at thechurch.
Mr. Gatlin, 54, died Aug. 16, 2001, at L. A. County HarborMedical Center. He was born in New Orleans on May 7, 1947, to JosieGatlin.
He was disabled and had worked with the Postal Service. He was amember of Greater Bethany Community Pentecostal Church.
Preceding him in death was his mother.
Survivors are his brother, Charles Herring of Los Angeles; hissisters, Alcan Smith of Brookhaven and Vinie Levi of Meridian; andtwo nieces and three nephews.

Mr. Jackson, 86, died Aug. 21, 2001, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on Jan. 1, 1915, to Elec Jackson and GolinaLevi Jackson.
He was disabled. He was a member of Macedonia M.B. Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mattie HooksJackson; his brothers, James E. Jackson, Excell Jackson, and MarvinJackson; and his sisters, Elizabeth Holloway, Nellie Mae Cubit,Josie D. Jackson, Irene Seals, Lena Mae Dillon, and GladysCarter.
Survivors are his daughters, Emma Jane Jackson Adams ofBrookhaven and Primadonna Lyons of Bogue Chitto; his sister, AnnieMae Johnson of California; and 10 grandchildren, 15great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
