Services for James Allen of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. Monday,August 27, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt.Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, August 26, from 4-9 p.m. and Monday,August 27, from 8 a.m. until time of service at the funeralhome.

Mr. Allen, 79, died Friday, August 24, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 28, 1921, tothe late Archie and Katie Furlow Allen.

He was retired from Jacobson Lawnmower Service. He was a memberof Cold Springs Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army veteran ofWorld War II.

Survivors are his wife, Hazel Watts Allen of Brookhaven;daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Sam Everett of Brandon;sisters, Mary Rushing of Picayune, Nell Furlow and Dottie Smith ofBrookhaven and Jaunita Case of El Paso, Texas; and two grandsonsand a spouse, Christopher Todd and Suzy Everett of Ridgeland andJames Blake Everett of Covington, La.
