Services for Joe Thomas Courtney of Bassfield were 10 a.m.,Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Bassfield Baptist Church with burial inBassfield Cemetery.

Mr. Courtney, 62, died Aug. 26, 2001, at Forrest GeneralHospital. He was born in Bassfield to Joe Courtney and Velma DavisCourtney.

He was a retired farmer and had served in the Air Force foreight years. He was a member of Bassfield Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Pat Courtney of Bassfield; his son,Gregg Courtney of Hattiesburg; his daughters, Regina Terry ofBrookhaven and Karen Cleveland of Hattiesburg; his sister, PatsyHarvey of Prentiss; his brother, Lawrence Courtney of Hollywood,Md.; and six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
