Services for Eva M. Dixon of Los Angeles, and formerly ofWesson, were 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, at St. Paul on the RiverM. B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Williams Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dixon, 78, died Sept. 5, 2001, in Los Angeles. She was bornin Wesson on Sept. 21, 1922, to Carey Henderson and Ina BakerHenderson.

She was self-employed.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, John Dixon;her daughters, Ina Dixon and Sarah Dixon; her stepson, Floyd Brown;and two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors are her husband, Melvin Dixon of Los Angeles; her son,Walter Dixon of Los Angeles; her daughters, Lessie Dixon and BobbieDixon, both of Los Angeles, and Darnis Smith of Wesson; herbrother, Eddie Henderson of Muskegon, Mich.; her sisters, EthelMartin of New Orleans, Jo Helon Henderson of Chicago, Flora Culverof Modesto, Calif., and Clara Jones of Muskegon, Mich.; and 14grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and sixgreat-great-grandchildren.
