Services for Carl G. Conn of Wesson are 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2,at Stringer Funeral Home Chapel in Hazlehurst with burial inAntioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday, Oct. 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Conn, 73, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Copiah County.

He was an electrician for who worked offshore for ArcoPetroleum. He joined the Navy as a Seabee and was stationed inAdak, Alaska. He and his wife, whom he met while working in Texas,returned to Copiah County in 1973 where he formed and worked withArco.

Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Novene Baylor Conn;daughters, Claudette Hulce and Rebecca Webb, both of Austin, Texas,Carol Conn of Pearl and Glenda Heggins of Canby, Ca.; mother, AlmaDee Phillips Townes of Palatka, Fla.; brother, Robert Lee Conn ofHazlehurst; sister, Rachael Conn Speed of San Matel, Fla.; sixgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
