Services for Harvis Williams of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Thursday,Oct. 4, at Avery Chapel A.M.E. Church.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon until 7 p.m. with family hourfrom 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Williams, 63, died Sept. 30, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Franklin County on April 25, 1938,to Jeff Williams and Beora Spurlock Williams.

He was disabled.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, SandraWilliams; and his foster mother, Beulah Knighton.

Survivors are his wife, Vivian Howard Williams of Brookhaven;his sons, Jeffery Williams and Jackie McGee, both of Brookhaven,and Ronnie Williams of Capitol Heights, Md.; his daughters, SabrinaW. Dixon of Brookhaven, Angela Williams of Natchez, Veverly Gill ofIndianapolis, Ind., Angie Smith of Crystal Springs, and CassandraWilliams of Jackson; and 21 grandchildren and twogreat-grandchildren.
