Services for Eldred “Snooks” Cockerham of Brookhaven are 10a.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel withburial in New Salem Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Cockerham, 74, died Oct. 4, 2001, at Haven Hall NursingHome. He was born in Franklin Parish, La., on June 20, 1927, to C.R. Cockerham and Beartha Hudson Cockerham.

He worked for Brookhaven Nurseries. He was an Army veteran ofWWII. He was a member of New Salem Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his brother, Alvie M. Cockerham of Monroe, La.; aspecial sister-in-law, Lillian Cockerham of Brookhaven; and hischurch family.
