TOPEKA – The eighth grade West Lincoln Bears mauled theTopeka-Tilton Lions 23-0 Tuesday night in football action.

West Lincoln went up 8-0 in the first quarter on a 14-yard runby Dexter Hutson and a two-point conversion run by Casey Britt.

In the third quarter, Blake McKee rushed for a 22-yard scorefollowed by a two-point conversion run by Hutson to give the Bearsa 16-0 lead over the Lions.

Patrick Ayers broke loose for a 35-yard touchdown run in thefourth quarter.

On defense, Kyle Lofton of West Lincoln recovered a fumble.

West Lincoln (3-3-1) will hold an intrasquad game Tuesday nightbeginning at 6 p.m. At 7, the junior varsity Bears will host theNorth Pike Jaguars.
