Services for Rosie Lee Oliver Monday of Monticello are 11 a.m.,Thursday, Oct. 11, at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from 4-9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home andThursday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Monday, 84, died Oct. 8, 2001, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 13, 1916, to JohnOdom and Mary Elizabeth Reid Brister.

She was a retired cafeteria worker for Monticello High School.She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of BethelBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, VelaHarper and Jessie Nations; and her son, Henry Lee Oliver.

Survivors are her sons, John Oliver of Monticello, Earl Oliverof McComb, Edward Oliver of Hazlehurst, and Dewey Oliver of Stark,Fla.; her daughters, Jewell Hebert of Brookhaven, Jean Hall ofMonticello, Jo Ann Taylor of Brandon and Joyce Gann of CouncilGrove, Kan.; a very special friend, Frank Roberts of Monticello;several stepchildren; and 32 grandchildren and severalgreat-grandchildren.
