Services for Clarcie Alma Cupstid of LaPlace, La., are 11 a.m.,Thursday, Oct. 25, at New Hope Baptist Church with burial in NewHope Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. and Thursday from 8-10:30 a.m.at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cupstid, 84, died Oct. 23, 2001, at Twin Oaks Nursing Homein LaPlace. She was born in Monticello on July 11, 1917, to JesseJames King and Mary Gurtrude Lambert King.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MelvinCupstid; and her son, James Curtiss Williamson.

Survivors are her son, Micheal Cupstid of LaPlace; herdaughters, Katherine Williamson Harckum of Baton Rouge and CarolynWilliamson Mungle of Memphis; her sister, Merle Stone of ElCerrito, Calif.; and nine grandchildren and fivegreat-grandchildren.
