Services for Cynthia L. Nelson Woods of McCall Creek are 11a.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, at Christian Springs M. B. Church withburial in St. Luke Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m. at Tyler FuneralHome.

Mrs. Woods, 92, died Oct. 23, 2001, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Franklin County on July 4, 1909, to AndrewNelson Sr. and Noda Smith Nelson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Christian Springs M. B.Church, where she was a member of the choir.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Joe WoodsSr.; her sisters, Geneva Cotton, Elois Nelson, Lola Bell Dorsey,and Pearl Adams; and his brothers, Coye Nelson and Lloyd Cole.

Survivors are her sons, David Woods of Brookhaven, and Joe WoodsJr. and Ed Woods, both of Detroit, Mich.; her daughter, MattieJeanette Lee of McCall Creek; her brothers, Charlie Nelson andAndrew Nelson Jr, both of McCall Creek, Richard Nelson and JessieNelson, both of Ogden, Utah, and Warren Nelson of Meridian; hersister, Clara Cameron of McCall Creek; and six grandchildren, ahost of great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
