Services for Earnest Lenox Smith of Bogue Chitto are 3 p.m.,Sunday, Oct. 28, at Johnson Grove Church of Christ with burial inthe church cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Homeand Sunday at the church from 1 p.m. until service time.

Mr. Smith, 72, died Oct. 25, 2001, at Baptist Medical Center inJackson. He was born in Lincoln County on May 27, 1929, to RobertEarl Smith and Lexie Lee Johnston Smith.

He was a grocery man. He was an Army veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Kathy Teel Smith of Bogue Chitto; hissons, Thomas Elkins and Michael Elkins, both of Bogue Chitto, andMichel Smith of Gulfport; his daughters, Pamela Willis of Silsbee,Texas, and JoAnn Miller of Crystal Springs; his brother andsister-in-law, Raymond and Sue Smith of Jackson; his sister andbrother-in-law, Hilda Faye and Donald Smith of Columbia; and 15grandchildren.
