Brook sweeps Tigers

CRYSTAL SPRINGS – The Brookhaven Panther basketball teams postedtwo wins over the Crystal Springs Tigers Thursday night.

The Lady Panthers,coached by Ronald Gill, recorded a 63-58 winover the Lady Tigers.

Coach Dan Presley’s Brookhaven boys stunned Crystal Springs71-57.

The Lady Panthers were led to the win on Aneidra Statton’s 17points, six assists and six steals. Tiffany Watkins fired in 13points. Following with 10 points apiece were Shanika Gilmore andAyana Tillman. Tillman led off the backboards with 12 rebounds.

“It was a good team win,” said Gill.

Ebony Jenkins pumped in a game-high 20 points for CrystalSprings.

The Brookhaven boys got 13 points from Brandon Caston. DexterMiddleton and Fred Mackabee netted 11 points apiece.

Leading Crystal Springs with 12 points apiece were Jesse Taylorand Marion Bingham.

“We had a total team effort,” said Presley. “The boys playedhard.”

Brookhaven visits Natchez on Monday Nov. 12.
