Services for June Evelyn Hovis Steuerwald of Brookhaven are 10a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Wesson Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 11, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Steuerwald, 60, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Humbolt, Ill., on June30, 1941, to Clarence E. and Mary Evelyn Purdum Hovis.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Brookhaven FirstBaptist Church. She was a member of the Exchangettes.

Survivors are her son, Jimmy M. Steuerwald of Allen, Texas;daughter, Julie E. Steuerwald Martin of Bogue Chitto; brothers,Kenneth C. Hovis of San Antonio, Texas, and Fred R. Hovis ofBrownsburg, Tenn.; sisters, Joan Hines of Blairsville, Ga., andFrances Werner of Brookhaven; aunt, Virginia Bolin of Mesa, Ariz.;two grandchildren; four nephews; four nieces; and sixgreat-nephews.
