Services for John J. Givens of Monticello are 10 a.m., Thursday,Nov. 15, at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Givens, 71, died Nov. 12, 2001, at University Medical Centerin Jackson. He was born in Monticello on Dec. 12, 1929, to LutherG. and Mollie Miller Givens.

He was disabled. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Hewas an Army veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers, HiteMcClain Givens, Marcus L. Givens, and L. T. Givens.

Survivors are his sister, Helen Givens Davis of Monticello, anda number of nieces and nephews.
