Bobcats blast St. Aloysius

BOGUE CHITTO – Senior guard Carlos Brown pumped in 27 pointsTuesday night and the Bogue Chitto Bobcats roared to an 82-46 winover the St. Aloysius Flashes in Calhoun Gymnasium.
In the girls game, center Yolanda Drummond fired in a game-high21 points to lead the Lady Bobcats to a 66-33 win over the LadyFlashes. Drummond also collected seven rebounds and made foursteals.
The junior varsity Bogue Chitto girls dumped St. Aloysius24-10.
The Bobcats (1-1, 1-0) got 10 rebounds, 5assists and 3 steals from Brown. Luke Hale added 12 rebounds. BrianWallace chipped in 12 points.
“We played a lot better than our first game,” said Bogue Chittoboys coach Theo Black. “Our young kids are getting a lot ofexperience.”
The Lady Bobcats (2-0, 1-0) got added support from guardJessica Melton with 15 points, 9 rebounds, 10 steals and 5 assists.Randi Moak netted 14 points, pulled down 9 rebounds and had 4assists. Also collecting seven rebounds was MarquitaRatcliff.
Jen Barnes paced the Lady Flashes with 12points.
Junior varsity Girls
The JV Bogue Chitto girls got nine points from KaylaSmith. Danielle Sasser, Cassie Martin and Brynna Wallace followedwith three points apiece.
Bogue Chitto resumes play Tuesday night at MSD.
