Services for Elder Richard Calcote of Brookhaven are 2:30 p.m.,Friday, Nov. 30, at Rose Hill M. B. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until 7 p.m. with family hourfrom 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Elder Calcote, 94, died Nov. 25, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 8, 1906, tothe Rev. W. R. Calcote and Mary Cooks Calcote.

He was retired. He was a member of Rose Hill M. B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Minnie HudsonCalcote; his adopted daughter, Mary Allen; his brothers, SidneyCalcote, Dan Calcote, Emanuel Calcote, John Calcote, George GilbertCalcote, Wiley Calcote, and Robert Calcote; and his sisters,Nettie, Tensie, and Mary Lou.

Survivors are his daughter, Carrie Lee Calcote Magee ofBrookhaven; his son-in-law, J. W. Magee of Brookhaven; his brother,Arthur Calcote of Greenwood; and nine grandchildren, onegreat-grandchild, and one great-great-grandchild.
