COLUMBIA – Anna Gatlin scored 11 points to lead the BrookhavenAcademy Lady Cougars to a 57-29 win over Columbia Academy Fridaynight in District 4-AA action.

The Brookhaven girls (10-0, 2-0) got eight points from AbbyWilliams. Jessie Altman grabbed seven rebounds.

Leading Columbia with 18 points was Jessie Himichson.

In the varsity boys game, center Paul Coker’s 16 points pacedthe BA Cougars to a 72-38 thrashing of Columbia. Johnathan Wattschipped in 12 points while Chase Magee and Jimmy Latham each had 10for Brookhaven (7-1, 2-0).

Junior high game

The undefeated Brookhaven Academy girls knocked off Columbia42-36. Kaci Williams powered Brookhaven with 15 points and ninerebounds. Emily Langley pumped in 12 points, grabbed 10 reboundsand made seven steals. Also collecting nine rebounds was AllysonPickett. Six steals were made by Maegen Calhoun.

Anna Paterson netted 13 points for Columbia.
