Services for Homer Laird of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m., Sunday,Dec. 16, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. ZionChurch of Christ.

Visitation is Sunday, Dec. 16, from 8 a.m. until service time atBrookhaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Laird, 82, died Friday, December 14, 2001, at his residence.He was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 18, 1919, to the late Lutherand Lillie Kay Case Laird.

He was a retired oil field worker.

Preceding him in death were his sons James Homer Laird and aninfant.

Survivors are his wife, Winnie Lee Laird of Bogue Chitto, hisson, Howard Laird of Helena, Ala.; daughters, Ruth O. Talley andDorothy Cannon, both of Bogue Chitto; brothers Earl H. Laird andHarold Laird, both of Bogue Chitto, his sister Jewel Pickering ofMcCall Creek; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
