Bogue Chitto tops W. Lincoln

BOGUE CHITTO -Center Yolanda Drummond broke loose for 22 pointsMonday night, leading the Bogue Chitto Lady Bobcats to a 48-46 winover the West Lincoln girls. Drummond also had 13 rebounds.

In the varsity boys game, Bogue Chitto got 18 points apiece fromDenard Ferguson and Domenick Addison as the Bobcats beat WestLincoln 69-60 in Calhoun Gymnasium.

Bogue Chitto resumes play Friday night at Brookhaven. WestLincoln visits Loyd Star Friday night.

The Lady Bobcats (8-1, 6-1) got 6 rebounds from Jessica Melton.Randi Moak added 11 points and 4 steals as they took a 23-18halftime lead.

West Lincoln (10-3, 3-1) got 12 points each from Chastity Avantsand Hannah Roberts.

The Bobcats (8-1, 7-0) were led on the backboards by centerDorian Dunn with 11 rebounds plus 17 points. Addison had 8 reboundsas Bogue Chitto exploded for a 21-point third quarter. MichaelBlackwell made 4 steals.

West Lincoln (7-6, 2-2) got a game-high 23 points from CodyMitchell. Sam Collins added 17 points and Luke Lofton 12.

Junior High Action

In the girls game, West Lincoln beat Bogue Chitto 28-16, poweredby Erica Shaw’s 10 points. April Kennedy and Brittany Phillips eachhad 6 points.

The Lady ‘Cats got 14 points from Meleah Brown.

In the junior high boys game, West Lincoln posted a 41-38victory, led by Shane Lynch with 21 points. Patrick Ayers and DrewCase added 6 points apiece.

Bogue Chitto was led by Dantae Ratcliff with 16 points and CoryWashington with 14.
