Services for Ethel Bowlin of Natchez were 10 a.m., Monday, Dec.24, at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with burial in NewProspect Cemetery in Lincoln County.

Mrs. Bowlin, 88, died Dec. 22, 2001, at Natchez CommunityHospital. She was born on July 4, 1913, to Hillary and LucreciaPorter Evans.

She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are her brother, Homer Evans of Brookhaven; hersister, Lucille Evans Ashley of Ridgecrest, La.; and a number ofnieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces,great-great-nephews and a host of friends.
