Mrs. McManus, 73, died Dec. 31, 2001, at Ocean Springs Hospital.She was born in Lincoln County on Nov. 10, 1928, to BerniceMcLelland and Curtis C. Lea.

She was a retired registered nurse and spent most of herpracticing career in Jackson.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband of 51 years, John H. McManus ofVancleave; her daughters and sons-in-law, Debbye and Bill LaRue ofVancleave and Jackie and John Snow of Temple, Texas; herstepmother, Ruby Lea of Sontag; her sisters and brother-in-law,Berneal Boutwell of Monticello, Maggie Lee and Sherwood Beckham ofWiggins, and Faye Frankenheim of Rochester, N.Y.; her brothers andsisters-in-law, Ronnie and Judy Lea of Sontag and Glen and KarenLea of Baytown, Texas; and seven grandchildren, one great-grandson,and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
