Services for Frank W. Laird of Baytown, Texas, were 2 p.m.,Monday, Dec. 31, at Earthman Funeral Home with burial in CedarCrest Cemetery. Bill Ehlig and David Smith conducted theservices.

Mr. Laird, 82, died Dec. 28, 2001, at Bay Coast Medical Center.He was born in McComb and had lived in Brookhaven and Natchezbefore moving to Baytown in 1943.

He was retired from Exxon after 41 years of service. He was amember of Missouri Street Church of Christ. He was a WWII veteranof the Army Medic Corps.

Preceding him in death was his son, Steven W. Laird.

Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Helen Wallace Laird ofBaytown; his son, Ronald F. Laird of Houston; his daughter andson-in-law, Debra and Roy King of Baytown; his sister andbrother-in-law, Myrtis and Hilton Bass of Liberty; hisgranddaughters, Melanie Klett and husband Andrew of Austin, andLorren Simon of Baytown; his great-grandchild, Valon Simon ofBaytown; and many other relatives and friends.
