VICKSBURG – West Lincoln’s Chastity Avants nailed a 15-footer atthe buzzer to give the Lady Bears a 39-38 come-from-behind win overthe St. Aloysius Lady Flashes Tuesday night in Division 7-1Abasketball action.

In the boys game, Sam Collins accounted for 19 points and 13rebounds to power the Bears to a 66-46 victory over theFlashes.

The West Lincoln girls improved to 12-3 overall and 4-1 indivision play. The Bears (8-7) are 3-2 in division action.

Directing the West Lincoln girls with 11 points, four assistsand three steals was Dana King. Hannah Johnson netted eight pointsfollowed by Lyndsay Franklin with seven points. Holli Bass pulleddown seven rebounds.

Amber Misiak led St. Aloysius with 13 points.

In the boys game, Cody Mitchell fired in 17 points for theBears. Tyler Smith followed with 13 points and Luke Lofton finishedwith 12 points and led off the backboards with 18 points. Mitchellalso made six steals and had six assists.

Victor Segers had 17 points for the Flashes.

Junior Varsity Game

The West Lincoln JV boys posted a 23-18 win over St. Aloysius.Daniel Allen led the Bears with 10 points.

West Lincoln visits Natchez Cathedral Friday.
