Services for Katherine Richardson Rippy Ballard of Bogue Chittoare 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Rawls Cemetery.

Mrs. Ballard, 88, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at her residence.She was born in Bogue Chitto on July, 31, 1913, to the late John”Jack” and Sarah Brister Richardson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Cold Springs Church ofChrist.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Bill Rippyand Lee Ballard; sons, Billy Joe, Jessie and Roger Rippy; infantdaughter; three brothers; and seven sisters.

Survivors are her daughters, Nellie St. Clair of Bogue Chitto,Texie Wallace of Natchez, Georgia Rippy of Bogue Chitto and RubyLee Rippy of Brookhaven; brother, Julius “Bud” Richardson of BogueChitto; sisters, Ida L. David of Lucedale and Emma Lofton ofHattiesburg; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 14great-great-grandchildren.
