Services for John Thomas “Tommy” Edwards of Brookhaven are 2p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in New Sight Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Edwards, 70, died Jan. 17, 2002, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Wesson on Oct. 24, 1931, to Willie E.Edwards and Annie Pearl Ashley Edwards.

He was a former truck driver for Roadway Truck Company. He was amember of the Teamsters Union. He was a member of Macedonia BaptistChurch. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Robertand Paul Edwards; and his sisters, Zena Weadock, Marty Lackey andElsie Gilespie.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Edwards of Brookhaven; his son anddaughter-in-law, Tim and Tracey Edwards of Brookhaven; hisdaughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Ken Smith of Brookhaven andSherry and Kenny Lowe of Gautier; his sisters, Joy Fleming ofSummit, Margie Britt, Colleen Groves, Alice Brashier and LynnStewart, all of Natchez, and Edna Burke of Webster, N.Y.; hisgrandchildren, Amy Walker, Lacey Smith, Paul Smith, Micah Lowe,Anna Lowe, Ainsley Edwards, and Shelby Edwards; and hisgreat-grandchildren, Mallory Walker and Corbin Falvey.
