Helen Allmand Neal, 88, died Feb. 7, 2002, at St.Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. onFriday, Feb. 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home, with services at 1 p.m.on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home. Burial will be at RoseHill Cemetery.
Mrs. Neal was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church. She wasa devoted Sunday school teacher and active member of the WMU andLLL. She loved the Lord and she shared the good news through notonly her life, but also every life she touched. She was a retiredrestaurant owner, having operated Brown’s Cafe for many years.
Her husband, Millington Eugene Neal, and her son, Richard WayneNeal, sisters Doris Kern and Lucile Daughdril, and brothers, Jack,Carey, Jewel, Fred and Kermit Allmand, preceded her in death.
Her life will continue to be celebrated by her daughter,Margaret Neal Tardo of Brandon; granddaughters and husbands, Vickiand Brett Hart, and Cheryl and Ken Smith of Brandon, Rhonda andRobert Kemp of Ft. Worth, Texas, and granddaughter Renaye Bollingerof Ft. Worth, Texas, Raynell and Clyde Ainsworth of Pearl;grandsons and wives, Rickie and Gwen Tardo of Brookhaven and Chrisand Connie Tardo of Madison; great-grandchildren, Heather Hart,Colby and Jessica Cunningham, Daniel and Kevin Kemp, and Devra andAaron Bollinger, Jason Bustamento, Tiffany Ogletree, Candice,Devin, Natalie and Nathan Tardo, and twogreat-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Wink andElla Allmand of Ft. Worth, Texas; her sister and brother-in-law,Jean and Jim Schumack of Arizona; and her sister-in-law, CelesteAllmand of Brookhaven; along with numerous nieces and nephews and aworld of friends.
Pallbearers will be the Rev. Jim Joiner, Jimmy Furlow, ToddKern, Greg Hoff, Barry Kern, and Larry Fisher.
