Graveside services for Evelyn Abrams Cline of Jackson are 10:30a.m., Friday, Feb. 15, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookhaven. Wright& Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cline, 94, died Feb. 12, 2002, at Lakeland Health CareCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on June 28, 1907. At BrookhavenHigh School she was an honor student and a cheerleader. Sheattended M.S.C.W.

She was a longtime employee of Mississippi Power & LightCompany in Brookhaven. She was retired from the U. S. Governmentafter achievements in Civil Service. She was an avid tournamentbridge player, was ranked a Life Master, and was a member of the 25Club and the Bridge Club Association. She was a member of TempleBeth Israel in Jackson.

Her marriage to Herschel Cline of Indianola led the couple toseveral Mississippi towns with his association of shoe business andultimately to Jackson.

“Ev” had a lovable personality, making and enjoying friends, andbeing gracious in volunteer work.

Survivors are her sisters, Vera Abrams Davis of Jackson andFlorine Abrams of Brookhaven; her sister-in-law, Mrs. CliffordAbrams of Mobile; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces andnephews, and two great-great nieces.
