Services for Albert C. Tanner Sr. of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Saturday, March 23, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin East Lincoln Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Tanner, 74, died March 19, 2002, at University Hospital inJackson. He was born in Brookhaven on Feb. 11, 1928, to Joe N.Tanner and Retta Olis Faris Tanner.

He was retired from the U.S. Air Force with 21 years service. Hewas retired from the Mississippi Forestry Commission. He was amember of East Lincoln Baptist Church. He was a veteran of theKorean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of the Topisaw MasonicLodge.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, MaryLizabeth (Libby) Graham Tanner.

Survivors are his son, Albert C. “Chip” Tanner Jr. ofBrookhaven; his daughters, Brenda Baty and Debi Mason, both ofHattiesburg; his sister, Josie Rogillio of Natchez; sevengrandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and his cat,LeRoy.
