Brookhaven tennis team trims Terry

The Brookhaven varsity tennis team cruised past Terry 4-1Wednesday in a wind-swept Division 6-4A match at the BrookhavenCountry Club. Sam Sones and Amanda Lynch paced the Panthers with astraight set victory in mixed doubles.

Brookhaven improved its match record to 7-0. The Panthers travelto Oxford to play Oxford and Shannon on Friday. Oxford plays BHS at12:30 and Shannon-BHS starts at 3 p.m.

“This will be an excellent test for us,” said Brookhaven coachDavid Misner. Shannon has moved up to Class 4A after winning the 3Atitle last year.
