Services for Vera Farmer Smith Young of McCall Creek are 10a.m., Friday, April 5, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Ramah Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Young, 87, died April 2, 2002, at SMRMC. She was born inFranklin County on Feb. 13, 1915, to W. C. Farmer and Mary AnnLewis Farmer.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Ramah BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, F. G.Smith and Van B. Young; her son, Douglas Lamar Smith; hergreat-grandson, Thomas Richard Holland; and her brothers, Edward,Dewey and Stewart Farmer.

Survivors are her grandchildren, Douglas Lamar Scott ofBrookhaven and Dana Scott Holland of McCall Creek; herstepchildren, Virginia Matecki and Danny Young; sixstepgrandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren andstepgreat-grandchildren.
