Services for Leroy King of Jayess are 2 p.m., Wednesday, April17, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Hope BaptistChurch Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m.until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. King, 75, died April 15, 2002, at Lawrence County Hospital.He was born in Lawrence County on Dec. 20, 1926, to Claude andKatie Ballard King.

He was a county foreman with Mississippi Department ofTransportation. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He wasa member of the Masonic Lodge in Monticello. He was a Navy veteranof WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Dale King; andhis brothers, Laney and Lonnie King.

Survivors are his wife, Ruby King of Jayess; hisdaughter-in-law, Grace King of Ridgeland; his brother, Earl King ofJayess; his sisters, Pauline Lambert and Agnes Rutland, both ofJayess, Helen Lambert of Monticello, and Nettie Cliburn of SilverCreek; and two grandchildren, Daniel and Jordan King ofRidgeland.
