Services for Milton E. Deer Sr. of McComb are 10 a.m., Friday,April 19, at Catchings Funeral Home Chapel with burial in ReevesCemetery.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. untilservice time at the funeral home.
Mr. Deer, 75, died April 17, 2002, at his residence. He was bornin Pike County on Nov. 21, 1926, to Charlie Deer and Johnnie ReedDeer.
He was retired from American Box Company. He was a member ofNavilla Baptist Church. He was a member of the McComb City Lodge#382 F&AM. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and his brother,Clifford Deer.
Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Billie Fitzgerald Deer ofMcComb; his stepmother, Betty Deer of McComb; his sons, Milton E.Deer Jr. of McComb and Billy Joe Deer of Brookhaven; his brothers,Edgar Deer of Summit and David Deer of McComb; his sisters, BettyBoyd of Brandon, Charleen Chandler, Ruth McDaniel, and BarbaraRogers, all of Summit, Annie Waguespack of Pearl and RubyBoatwright of McComb; and six grandchildren, threegreat-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and otherfamily.
