Services for J. D. Welch of Harrisville are 11 a.m., Saturday,April 20, at Harrisville Baptist Church with burial in HarrisvilleCemetery.

Visitation is today from 5:30-9 p.m. at Stringer Funeral Home inCrystal Springs.

Mr. Welch, 76, died April 17, 2002, at his residence. He was alifelong resident of Simpson County.

He worked 30 years as a Customer Service Manager for GeneralTire. He was a 33rd degree Mason, member of the Eastern Star and aShriner. He was a member of Harrisville Baptist Church, where hewas a deacon.

Survivors are his wife, Mamie Lou Welch; his son, James DonaldWelch of Baton Rouge; his daughters, Patricia Garrett ofHarrisville and Martha Welch of Byram; his brother, James Welch ofFlora; his sister, Ruth Sykes of Jackson; and three grandchildrenand three great-grandchildren.
